What does leadership mean to APO?
Leadership is a core principle of Alpha Phi Omega. It is the first cardinal principle of APO that we tell everyone about. Leadership at Alpha Delta is focused in on developing and growing our Brothers’ professional and leadership abilities. We do this through participating in workshops that are held by Career Services, Student Life & Leadership, as well as by our own Brothers.
How do our Brothers lead?
Leadership takes many different forms in the Alpha Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. For starters, the traditional form of leadership takes place through our Brothers serving on Executive Board. However, leadership goes much further than that. Brothers are able to develop their leadership skills through attendance at participatory workshops - some examples of which are: open forums, career & professional development, & public speaking. Even further, Brothers are able to lead by chairing events, participating on various committees, & even by simply taking initiative to help our chapter grow.
message from the leadership Vice President
My name is Justin Kon and I am the Leadership Vice President for the Spring 2019 semester. My leadership program is really focused on giving our brothers a space to grow in areas where they may find darkness or fear and push through those challenges by interacting and working with one another, strengthening our bonds, and pushing each other up through a network of support. This semester, I have included Open Forums as well as Public Speaking Seminars for a space for Brothers to grow and express themselves.
