What does leadership mean to APO?
Leadership is a core principle of Alpha Phi Omega. It is the first cardinal principle of APO that we tell everyone about. Leadership at Alpha Delta is focused in on developing and growing our Brothers’ professional and leadership abilities. We do this through participating in workshops that are held by Career Services, Student Life & Leadership, as well as by our own Brothers.
How do our Brothers lead?
Leadership takes many different forms in the Alpha Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. For starters, the traditional form of leadership takes place through our Brothers serving on Executive Board. However, leadership goes much further than that. Brothers are able to develop their leadership skills through attendance at participatory workshops - some examples of which are: open forums, career & professional development, & public speaking. Even further, Brothers are able to lead by chairing events, participating on various committees, & even by simply taking initiative to help our chapter grow.
message from the leadership Vice President
Hi there! My name is Brittany Lam and I am serving as Alpha Delta chapter’s Leadership Vice President for the Spring 2021 semester. This semester’s leadership program revolves around four themes: understanding your personality, leadership styles, personal development and professional development. These leadership themes can be found in workshops, assessments, open forums, self-reflection prompts, SDSU- and non-SDSU leadership events. I hope brothers are able to take something away from this program.
