With the Alpha Delta class activated last Friday, brothers assembled to celebrate all the work and growth accomplished by the chapter during the Spring 2022 semester. Consisting of gifts and official recognition to and from, our Vice Presidents of Internal Relations Jayden Curameng and Ryan Hardmeyer put on a fantastic event commemorating all those involved. Shoutout to Pledge Class President Annie Huynh for her speech highlighting the class's trials, triumphs, and lessons gained throughout their pledging semester. With Spring 2022 officially over, the Alpha Delta chapter is incredibly excited to welcome the Alpha Delta class into its active body as brothers. Lastly, great job to all our Executive Board and committee members for making this memorable semester possible. 

With this semester's end on the horizon, the Alpha Delta chapter hosted several events to provide members some well-earned relaxation before finals. In addition, final opportunities were given to help orgs like Princess Project, Autism Tree, and Feeding San Diego in serving local communities. Some notable events included APO Idol, a Chapter-Wide Social, and Scrapbooking hosted by Annie Nguyen!

With the Alpha Delta chapter resuming operations per Spring Break's end, plenty of both brothers and pledges took initiative to start up activities once more. Here are some highlights:

• Pledge Fellowship: Make Slime - Organized by Annie Nguyen, the Alpha Delta class brought together our active body in having fun making slime
• badminton with sahini! - Active Sahini Komandla brought together brothers to share both some friendly competition and passion for badminton​
• Friendly Pillow Fight with Katelyn Lee - Active Katelyn Lee subjected unknowing brothers to a death match of cushion and concussion. Then forced them all to smile for a picture afterwards. How evil.

Shoutout to the Alpha Delta class and these brothers for getting involved and encouraging others to do so as well. This past weekend, Fellowship Vice President Jacquelyne Nguyen hosted APOlympics: a half-day competition where brothers throughout the chapter compete in a variety of sports and games to earn their team points. With each semester featuring a variety of different games, APOlympics for Spring 2022 consisted of:

• Basketball & Musical Basketball
• Dodgeball
• Volleyball
• Steal the Bacon

Capping off the event was the Relay Race, in which teams rushed to complete a circuit of activities the fastest. Popping balloons, balancing eggs, and passing oranges by the neck (?), the assortment this semester was great and bravo to Jackie for such a wonderful event. Also in attendance were alumni John Lim and Mariana Taitano, thanks for showing out!

This past Friday was one of APO's biggest events for the semester! What event was it exactly? [REDACTED]. Organized by PTs Liana Miranda and Maya Reyes and with help from their committee Kalli Jones, Cole Yamamoto, Katie Yamashita, Christina Kirchner, and Abby Arvidson, they did a spectacular job that the entire chapter will remember. With newfound guidance for their journeys within APO, the chapter's confident these efforts will help the Alpha Delta class excel during their pledge semester. 

Pledge Retreat is a great opportunity for APO's pledges to get closer with their class, and we're happy to announce the John Lim Spring 2022 Alpha Delta class went on their 1st one this past weekend in Valley Center, CA! They've been working hard both in and out of the fraternity and the chapter hopes they had a good time. In addition, the Maggie Katz Fall 2021 Alpha Gamma class went on their 2nd this weekend in San Bernardino, CA!

Before these getaways however, a chapter-wide banquet was held to commemorate the Alpha Gamma class for crossing last semester. Filled with fam videos and gifts to the chapter, PTs, and senior brothers, it was definitely a night to remember.

Say hello to the Spring 2022 John Lim Alpha Delta Pledge Class! ​

With Thursday's Mocktail marking the end of Rush, the Alpha Delta chapter assembled Friday to host Pinning and welcome the incoming pledge class. A group of 16 rushees willing to pursue a deeper meaning behind APO's cardinal principles, all 16 pinned and officially transitioned over as pledges! Assisting the pledges during the ceremony were brothers Liana Miranda and Maya Reyes, who will serve as the class's Pledge Trainers throughout their first semesters. 

APO may have introduced 16 new pledges, but Spring 2022's class is not yet complete! This Monday, February 21st, will have make-up Pinning for any rushees unable to attend the first ceremony.

Congratulations to all the new, official pledges within Alpha Delta, the chapter wishes you an incredible pledging semester. And an even bigger congratulations to our Recruitment Chair Jacky Sanchez and Vice President of External Relations Francis Cadiz, who both did fantastic jobs organizing rush this semester. None of it is possible without you two and you truly inspire the best out of our brothers!

Spring 2022's first week of rush is officially over! Starting on February 8th, this first week consisted of Meet the Brothers on Tuesday, Info Night #1 on Wednesday, a Leadership Workshop by our LVP Lorena Paringit on Thursday, and APO's traditional Bonfire on Friday capping it all off. 

A big shoutout to all our brothers and rushees that attended. To any rushees looking to attend future events, including our Invite-Only Mocktail and Pinning, don't worry as rush is still going on! Our next open events are:

• Service Night | 2/16, 6:00PM
